Kokomo Kids Eat

Macaroni and Cheese from Hawg Heaven
425 W. Defenbaugh St., Kokomo, IN 46902 | (765) 450-6584
https://www.hawgheaveneats.com/

When you think of Hawg Heaven, meat might come to mind first, but don’t overlook their housemade sides. Our family shared their macaroni and cheese, and once the kids realized it was just as delicious—despite being different from their usual boxed version—it earned rave reviews. We agreed the pasta was a hit because it was creamy and extra cheesy. Families can share a side like we did or choose it as a kids’ menu option, which includes a side and a drink. For the full menu, visit the Hawg Heaven website.

Kirkendall Interpretive Nature Center at Jackson Morrow Park
4200 S. Park Road, Kokomo, IN 46902 | (765) 456-7275

The Kirkendall Nature Center is operating on its winter schedule with open hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The nature center is home to many Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD) programs and activities, including creature features throughout the year. If you’ve never visited, it’s a great place to learn more about local wildlife species, plants, and insects. In addition to preserved and live animals, the nature center has games, books, and other hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy.
