A last-minute change in dinner plans gave us the chance to try something new last week—Southern Smackerz, located off Boulevard Street. This spot serves up homemade, Southern-style comfort food that will leave you coming back for more. Our kids chose the two-piece chicken tender kids’ meal with fries, and once we got home, the room fell silent—everyone was too busy happily eating. Our oldest especially enjoyed the seasoning on his tenders, declaring them better than "that other chicken tender place." If you're looking for a sign to try something new, this might be it! Playpen Sports Academy at Bible Baptist Church

With opportunities for children as young as 2 years old, PlayPen Sports Academy has brought game time for tots to Kokomo. They now offer soccer, baseball, basketball, and PlayActive classes at Bible Baptist Church during their respective seasons. Registration is now open for baseball, soccer, and PlayActive for children ages 2-6. Sports like baseball and soccer help kids develop motor skills, fundamental movement patterns, and hand-eye coordination—all while having fun!
