Strawberry Smoothies from Doubting Thomas Coffee & Cafe
840 Daniel Drive, Kokomo, IN 46901 | (765) 780-3094

We were on the hunt for a sweet, fresh snack, and a quick stop at the Doubting Thomas Café drive-through at Cross America did the trick! My two backseat helpers were happily sipping on strawberry smoothies in no time. Smoothies come in strawberry, mango, and piña colada flavors, but Doubting Thomas offers a variety of hot and cold drinks, along with delicious food options—perfect for grabbing a bite when meeting friends at Cross America. To view the full menu, visit their website, or check out their Facebook page for updates on monthly and holiday specials.

Kokomo Kids Play
The Toy Corner at Walls Furniture & Mattress
521 E. Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902 | (765) 300-2079
https://www.shopwallsfurniture.com/
We recently visited Walls Furniture to explore potential furniture upgrades. Within minutes, the kids lost interest in dining tables and couches—typical! Fortunately, a kind staff member led us to the kids' bedroom showroom, where an incredible collection of toys awaited. With casual supervision, we had peaceful time to browse and test out furniture while the kids played happily. To our surprise, they were actually sad to leave, which makes us confident that future visits to Walls Furniture will be much smoother. Stop into Walls Furniture (right behind McDonald’s on Alto Road) during their open hours or visit their website to browse their extended furniture selection.

The first of many highly anticipated programs offered by the Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department, the Spring Pint-Sized Chef Program registration is open now. Youth ages 5-12 enrolled in this program will learn some cooking basics, including reading a recipe, the names and uses of cooking tools, and taking measurements. They will also prepare a simple dish each week in class. The program is held at Rodger Pavilion in Highland Park and is limited to 12 per class. These classes fill up quickly, so be sure to complete a registration form and return it with payment to the KPRD Office.
