Kokomo Kids Eat

Kid’s Cup from Moo Stach Ice
815 N. Washington St. Kokomo, IN 46901

This Summer Heat will have us all craving sweet, cold treats.Take a drive downtown and try Moo Stach Ice. It’s tucked off of Washington Street with two giant lifeguard chairs in front. The business is “slinging” Italian Ice for its second Summer in business. Our kids got a kid’s cup of Strawberry Ice Cream, but there are so many options that kids will love. This is a great option for a treat if you prefer a dairy-free dessert. I enjoyed a Tropical Sunset Gelatis and my spouse tried a Slurry for the first time. This special spot is only open for the short summer season, so don’t miss out.

Kokomo Kids Play

Play while you shop at Salisbury Garden Center-Kokomo
2269 W 400S, Kokomo, IN 46902
(765)453-5531
https://www.facebook.com/SalsberyGardenCenter/

Shopping for anything other than toys can be such a drag for kids. I recall loathing Lowe’s as a child. It felt like time literally slowed down in that store. Shopping doesn’t have to be boring for your kids. Some stores or businesses like Salisbury Garden Center have small play areas to make shopping with your family a little more fun. As you make your way back to the area where the trees are you’ll find a small play area with swings and a playhouse. If you’re lucky you may even spot Pete, a friendly cat that lives at the shop.

Kokomo Kids Learn

Little Sprouts Tent at the Kokomo Farmers Market
232 W Mulberry St. Kokomo, IN 46901
(765)416-3191 | 9 a.m. - noon
https://www.facebook.com/kokomofarmersmarket

The Kokomo Farmers Market will be open each weekend downtown. You might not normally consider the Farmers Market to be a “fun” thing for kids to do, but ours definitely is. The Kokomo Farmers market invites performers and demonstrations to be present each weekend and the Farmer’s Market Committee has a special tent with a hands-on activity for kids. The activities are a lot of fun and relative to learning about gardening, making healthy food choices, and more. That’s not even the best part though, when your child participates they will receive something special to do some shopping at the market alongside you. Be sure to follow The Kokomo Farmers Market on Facebook for last-minute updates.
