Kokomo Kids Eat

Kid’s Meal from Mancino’s Pizza and Grinders
3700 S. Reed Road, Kokomo, IN 46902
(765) 457-1800

We ordered lunch from Mancino’s for the first time in Kokomo and were excited to see the expansive menu options. They share how to order your items made gluten-free easily on the menu if that’s something your family desires/needs. We are pasta lovers so my oldest chose to order the baked spaghetti kids meal and my youngest went with the pepperoni pizza bread kids meal. Baked chicken bites and a quarter grinder are the other kid’s meal options offered. They struggled to choose between a cookie or chips, but the cookies were chosen to add a special treat. The kids’ menu at Mancino’s is for kids 0-10 years old and also includes a kid’s drink. Stop by and give it a try! Check out the website for a full menu.

This weekend is your last chance to enjoy The Frozen Sandlot with your kids. Public skate is available all weekend until the final day on Sunday, Jan. 7. Whether you are an experienced skater or not, this is a fun local activity you can do for a low cost. Did you know that The Frozen Sandlot is operated by and supports the local nonprofit Bridges Outreach? This is the sixth season for The Frozen Sandlot, and if you don’t visit soon you’ll have to wait until next season beginning in November 2024.

Indiana 4-H Cooking Around the World Virtual Workshop
For Youth in Grades 3-12
Register by Jan. 12 online

Indiana 4-H is part of one of the nation’s largest youth development organizations with a local office right here in Howard County. Youth in grades 3-12 can participate in the traditional 4-H experience by preparing an exhibit for the annual county 4-H fair or take part in many of the other additional learning opportunities 4-H now offers. Cooking Around the World is a special virtual workshop led by Megan Hoffherr, a 4-H Youth Development Extension educator in Vanderburgh County. Any Indiana youth in grades 3-12 can register online and participate with access to Zoom for only $30. Classes will be recorded in case of absence, but this will be a hands-on cultural experience your child will love. You can email Hoffherr at mkron@purdue.edu or call (812) 435-5287 for more information.
