Kokomo Kids Eat

Mickey Mouse Pancake Meal From Frittata’s Restaurant
306 Espanol Drive, Kokomo, In 46902
(765)626-0239

This special presentation of pancakes brings a little magic to breakfast or brunch with your family. Our kids enjoy this as a regular pick from the kids menu at Frittata’s. Alongside the large and two smaller pancakes topped with whipped cream and fruit, they also get their choice of sausage or bacon on the side and a drink. Our oldest loves the special face on Mickey, but you have the option to order the meal with or without the fruit and whipped cream toppings. This meal could make even the pickiest of our Kokomo Kids happy with a full belly. You can dine or carryout at Frittatas and visit their Facebook page for a glimpse at the Menu.

Kokomo Kids Play

Visit Science Central with a Membership Card from KHCPL
1950 N. Clinton St., Ft. Wayne, IN 46805
https://www.sciencecentral.org/

In addition to the normal experience kits that are offered at the library, you can also check out membership passes. If your family is up for a little adventure this winter, you should check out the Science Central membership pass from KHCPL and head north to Ft. Wayne. I have fond memories of Science Central because I grew up just southwest of Ft. Wayne, but Science Central is a fun place for both kids and adults to play. For our younger Kokomo Kids there is a toddler area where little ones can experiment with water, climb and play in a play center, and learn about reflection, sounds, and senses. There are three floors of hands-on activities and exhibits for kids to learn about all things science. If you choose to make it a full day event you can even pack and eat lunch with your family in the eating area with vending machines. You can learn more about what's available at Science Central by checking out their website.

Kokomo Kids Learn

SOL House Children’s Reading Room
510 W. Superior St., Kokomo, IN 46091

We’re welcoming this NEW space and nonprofit used book store with an adorable children’s area to our community. I know I’m always looking for places to go with my family that offer new experiences. SOL house is open to the public as a place to hang out and read or meet people. The children’s area is a sweet and colorful place for kids to read and meet with friends. My favorite part is the canopy nook. I’m excited to cuddle with my kids and read a new book aloud with them in this space. Along with children’s books, SOL House has many upcycled books about personal growth and development. They also accept book donations and allow groups to meet in their space for a donation. It’s important to be an example to your family and let them see you (the parent) reading independently as well as encouraging them to read. SOL House is a great new place to relax, read, and learn something new as a family. Check out more photos of SOL House from Heidi’s First Look.
