Kokomo Kids Eat
Bavarian Bites From Cook McDoogal’s Irish Pub
100 N Main St., Kokomo, IN 46901 | (765)450-6143
The best after-school snack this week was discovered downtown from Cook McDoogal’s Irish Pub. We shared some Bavarian Bites for the first time, and we wish we had gotten two orders instead of one. These delicious braided pretzel bites are served with cheese and a horseradish mustard dipping sauce. Our boys were satisfied with just the bites and struggled to share with mom and dad — even after eating all of my extra pub chips. We ordered these to-go this time, but will definitely plan to dine in with our kids to share some more soon. To learn more about this downtown gem and view their full menu, visit the Cook McDoogal’s Website.

Go for a Walk or Jog downtown
https://www.cityofkokomo.org/departments/walkpaths_and_trails.php
Carve out some time to get outside for a walk or jog with your family. It's recommended by the CDC that children ages 6-17 are active for at least 60 minutes a day and there are many benefits to physical activity, including reducing symptoms of anxiety or depression.
Kokomo is home to many scenic walk paths and trails. Downtown Kokomo offers a few great options, especially for a family that enjoys art and fun like we do. The Wildcat Creek Walk of Excellence, allows you to go for a walk and stop to play at Foster Park. The Industrial Heritage Trail can be an expanded length, but takes you through downtown passing by murals and the Splash Pad at Al Berryman Park. The Cloverleaf trail connects these two paths as well. Use a walk as a time to talk and connect with your family, or even play a game using your senses. You can find detailed information about our local walk paths and trails on the KPRD website.
