Kokomo Post Kids Eat, Play, Learn: April 18
Hey Kokomo! It’s that time of the week again. Our staff with kids are happy to share a few of the places their kids like to eat, play, and learn in and around Howard County. Check out this week’s picks for yourself!
Kokomo Kids Eat
Piggy Pancake Breakfast at Missy’s Family Restaurant
Two Locations:
(South) 4005 S Webster St., Kokomo, IN 46902 | (765)450-1799
(Downtown) 503 N Buckeye St., Kokomo, IN 46901 | (765)-450-6586
Wake your family up early to visit one of our local Missy’s Family Restaurants. Offering breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner (Thursdays and Fridays) you’ll love the friendly atmosphere and home cooked meals. Your kids are guaranteed to feel hungry and special when they see the Piggy Pancake on the Kid’s Breakfast Menu. It’s about two pancakes made into a happy face with a banana slice nose and chocolate chip eyes, served with the choice of two slices of bacon or two sausage links. My boys were so happy to see their food arrive at our table and I was relieved at the sight of them finishing their plates. Missy’s Kids meals are for kids 10 years old and younger and include a drink. Check out the full menu on their website. You can dine in or order pickup at both locations.
Kokomo Kids Play
Drums Alive at the Kokomo Howard County Public Library South Branch
1755 East Center Road, Kokomo, IN 46901
(765)453-4150
Looking for a unique way to get active and have fun? Register for one of the upcoming Drums Alive classes happening at KHCPL South. It’s a dynamic exercise program that will get your heart pumping and body moving with cardio drumming. All ages and abilities are welcome to give it a try. Our family had a blast at Drums Alive with our toddlers. We enjoyed the music and added scarves to our drumsticks for some extra flair. Be sure to bring the fun and wear comfortable clothes and shoes for an awesome workout experience. Classes are currently being offered on Mondays (April 22nd and April 29th) from 6:30-7:15 PM, but registration is required because supplies are limited. You can register online or call any KHCPL location. To see all opportunities to participate in Drums Alive, you can search Drums Alive on the “events” tab on the KHCPL Website.
