Curtain Call Brings Finding Nemo Jr. to Havens
Join Kokomo Curtain Call and dive deep with Nemo, Marlin and their friends in this 60-minute adaptation of “Finding Nemo Jr., The Musical.”
At 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, and 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, Havens Auditorium will be swimming with talent as 42 students 5 to 18 years old take the stage with new music, lovable characters and a vibrant underwater scene brought to life.
With her background in education, director Suzie Reagle is passionate about her work in children’s theater and sees first-hand how it can positively affect the youth involved.
“I’ve worked with kids a lot, they are fresh, they are anxious to learn and to show you what they can do,” said Reagle. “I’ve seen theater build self-confidence, it’s a chance to build friendships and character, we learn directions and time management. It’s a lot of the skills these kids learn at school just in a different environment.”
Elias Record, who plays Nemo’s dad, Marlin, is new to Curtain Call Theatre for Children this year.
“I’m having so much fun” Record said. “I didn’t know I was this into acting.”
“I went to audition because a friend of mine was in Curtain Call and I was surprised when they called me back and gave me such a big role.”
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door with assigned seating. Seats may be purchased at the door but buying tickets online is encouraged.
