Celebrate New Year’s Eve and Welcome 2024 with Your Kids

As 2023 comes to a close, it’s fun to reminisce on the past year. When you have kids it’s even more special because they grow and change so much in a year. You can celebrate at home or take advantage of the following opportunities in and around Kokomo. So, 3…2…1…Happy New Year!


  • Heritage Lanes

    • Rockin’ Cosmic Family Party
      Sunday, Dec. 31 | 6-9 p.m.

      The party will go all night at Heritage Lanes, but family cosmic bowling will be available from 6-9 p.m. Each lane can be reserved for $150 by contacting the bowling center. The night will include unlimited bowling and rental shoes. There will also be a DJ and party favors with dinner and drinks available from Roddy’s.

  • Kokomo Howard County Public Library

    • New Year’s Wishes at KHCPL Main
      Sunday, Dec. 31 | 2:30-3:30 p.m.
      Recommended Ages 6-11

    • New Year’s Wishes at KHCPL South
      Sunday, Dec. 31 | 6-7 p.m.
      Recommended Ages 6-11

      There will be two special New Year’s activities being hosted at KHCPL Main and South for youth ages 6-11. While supplies last youth can make crafts and do activities including making confetti poppers and making personalized boxes of wishes to be filled with dreams and resolutions for the new year.

  • Miami County YMCA

    • Noon Year’s Eve
      Monday, Jan. 1 | 11:00 a.m. - 2 p.m.

      Families of all ages are welcome to attend Noon Year’s Eve at the Miami County YMCA in Peru. The cost is $5 per person or $10 per family. The event will begin with a pancake brunch followed by a ball drop at noon and swimming. For more information, check out the Miami County YMCA Facebook Page. 

  • Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

    • Countdown to noon
      Sunday Dec. 31 | 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.


      Celebrate the New Year with your family at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. There will be a special countdown to noon and 1 p.m. with party supplies, music, and special educational activities. These activities are included in your admission to the Children’s Museum where you and your family can explore three floors of exhibits including the seasonal exhibit WinterFaire.
