Best Salads in Kokomo - Part 2
Hey Kokomo! Our first salad blog was a hit so we’re back at it! We asked around Kokomo and we’ve gathered more of the ultimate Kokomo salad picks. Take a look at Part 2 of our list and maybe you’ll find a new favorite!
Buffalo Chicken Salad from Cook McDougals
This is a great lunch pick if you’re meeting up with a friend for lunch at Cooks, or a to-go option for those of us lucky enough to work within walking distance. The Buffalo Chicken salad has everything you want- romaine, diced chicken tenders, wing sauce, celery, red onion, bleu cheese crumbles, and their amazing house made ranch dressing.
Taco Salad from Lucky Lemon (at The Kokomo Farmer’s Market Store)
Our only vegan pick on this list, the taco salad with walnut chorizo is absolutely delicious. It’s served with a side of tasty southwest dressing. Whether you’re vegan or not, you will love this salad. Bonus tip: Lucky Lemon Bakery isn’t just crafting delicious salads, but they’re offering many other yummy vegan dishes and the best vegan treats!
Greek Salad (with Gyro meat) from Louie’s Coney Island
This is my personal favorite on the list and it’s from a place you may not expect. Sure, we all know Louie’s Coney Island for their bakes, but have you tried this salad? (Special thanks to my friend Samantha for the recommendation a few years ago!) This salad has become a go-to option for me, especially on busy work days. Incredible gyro meat is served over fresh lettuce, cucumber, feta, kalamata olives, and tomatoes. They serve it with home made greek dressing and a few pita wedges on the side. Everything is always fresh and delicious.
Taco Salad from Mi Familia
This taco salad is crazy good. It still counts as a salad when it’s served in a crispy, crunchy, tortilla bowl right? Mi Familia is serving great Mexican food and this taco salad should be added to your lunch rotation. You decide if you want it filled with shredded chicken or ground beef and then they load it up with lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, guacamole, and shredded cheese. Then, they serve it with a side of beans and cheese sauce. Delicious!
So, Kokomo, what did you think about Part 2? Did your favorite salad make this list? If not, we want to hear about it in the comments below!
