8 Ways to Enjoy Memorial Day Weekend in Kokomo

Happy Memorial Day weekend, Kokomo! While we’re all honoring the military heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice, we’re also encouraging you to get out and experience what our amazing city has to offer. We did the research so you don’t have to; keep reading for the inside scoop.


STEM Thursday Kitchen Chemistry

Kids first through sixth grade have an opportunity to join the Kokomo-Howard Country Public Library for an evening of science! Get the opportunity to enjoy experimental learning with common kitchen items right here in Kokomo.

When: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 26

Since 2018, Tand has been bringing energetic and funky part rock with its own blend of heart and soul. Help The Coterie welcome this South Florida band to the 'Mo!

"Murph" in the 'MO

The Murph Challenge is the Official annual fundraiser of the LT. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation. “Murph” was a Navy Seal who was killed in action on June 28th, 2005 in Afghanistan. Crossfit Kokomo and fitness enthusiasts honor him by completing a HERO Workout of the Day, which includes a one-mile run, one-hundred pullups, two-hundred push-ups, three-hundred squats, and finishing with another one-mile run. Honor a veteran who paid the ultimate cost for our freedom at this local fundraising event.

When: 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, May 27

Leilani Kilgore : Live at The Coterie

Leilani Kilgore, a Nashville-based rock n roll artist, is taking the stage this Friday at The Coterie! This girl can shred, go see for yourself!

Levi White Live at Coopers Pub

Greentown native and ukulele master, Levi White, is visiting Coopers Pub for an evening of entertainment. Downtown is the place to be this weekend, so don’t miss out!

When: 8 p.m. Saturday, May 28

Kokomo Farmers Market

Take advantage of the extra day off this weekend and head downtown to check out the Kokomo Farmers Market! Shop from plants, fresh produce, handcrafted and local items, and so much more at this downtown summer staple.

Psychic (The Band) and more TBA

All ages are invited to American Dream Hi Fi this Saturday night to experience live music from Psychic (The Band)! There will also be beer and wine for the 21 and older crowd to enjoy!

Kids Fly Free with EAA Chapters Young Eagles

Children 8 to 17 are able to experience flight in a general aviation airplane while learning about aviation! Register ahead for this free flight program at Kokomo Municipal Airport by visiting YEDAY.ORG
