The Kokomo Post Picks of the Week - August 14th
Hey Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks of the week where our staffers and interns pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:
Jack’s Donuts
They’re baaaaack! We’re so happy to welcome Jack’s Donuts back to the Kokomo scene. Under new ownership, they’re offering 60 varieties of donuts, coffee, energy drinks and ice cream! According to this article from the Kokomo Perspective, the new owners, Jeff and Sheila Swenke, say that they’re looking forward focussing on the customers and the community. They sponsor charities and donate leftover donuts at the end of the day to different nonprofits. We’re glad to welcome them to the City of Firsts!
Pineapple Paradise from Lexi’s
In an effort to hold on to summer as long as possible, let me introduce you to the Pineapple Paradise from Lexi’s. It’s Sprite with pineapple and marshmallow.
It will take the place of your dessert for the day but every single gram of sugar is worth it. One of these + a backyard sprinkler = a nice little staycation right here in Kokomo.
Mini Em Prints
A recent find for us- Mini Em Prints is a Kokomo artist who creates stickers and digital art prints! We love her work. All stickers are weatherproof, removable, and sprayed with a sealant to prevent scratches.
She draws, prints, and cuts everything herself and custom orders are her jam! Check out these custom stickers she made for The Kokomo Post!
Find Mini Em Designs at her Etsy shop, her Instagram, or her Facebook page.
What do you think Kokomo? We want to hear your picks of the week!
