Veterans Day, which falls on Nov. 11, is a significant occasion for honoring and expressing gratitude to the individuals who have selflessly served our nation. It is a day when we come together to pay tribute to the sacrifices made by our veterans. While words of appreciation and support are important every day, on Veteran's Day, both local and non-local businesses show their appreciation in a tangible way. They offer special discounts, promotions, and exclusive deals to veterans as a token of their gratitude for the sacrifices these men and women have made to protect our freedom.
To make it easier for veterans to access these special offers, our team here at The Kokomo Post has compiled a list of businesses participating in Veterans Day specials with the help of Kokomo’s Military Foundation. This list includes a range of businesses, from restaurants to retail stores, offering discounts and exclusive promotions to veterans and active-duty military personnel not only on Veterans Day but throughout the year as well.

One-Day Veteran’s Day Specials:
Applebee’s
Active-duty military will receive a free meal when they dine on a special menu. As a bonus, military guests dining in on November 11 will receive a $5 bounce-back card that can be redeemed for dine-in, to-go, or delivery within three weeks.
Bob Evans
Free meal from their menu of 7 homestyle favorites to veterans and active duty military members.
Buffalo Wild Wings Free Wings
Veterans and active-duty military members can get a free order of 10 boneless wings and fries. Dine-in or takeout is available.
Charley’s Cheesteaks
Veterans and active-duty military get free Gourmet Fries in-store with no purchase necessary on November 11. In addition, Charleys’ locations on military bases are offering free gourmet fries with the purchase of a cheesesteak and drink for all customers.
Chili’s
Veterans and active-duty military members can receive a free meal from a special menu.
Chuck E. Cheese
Active-duty military, National Guard and veterans get a free personal 1-topping pizza with valid military ID or proof of military service. Not available for delivery.
Cracker Barrel
In-store or online, veterans can enjoy a free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake.
Fazoli’s
Free spaghetti with Meat or Marinara with eFamily/app or buy one get one free with Meat or Marinara with the app.
Hacienda
Veterans with proof of ID get a Large Wet Burrito for free when they dine-in or carryout
IHOP
Veterans and active-duty military get free Red, White & Blueberry Pancakes at participating locations on November 11. Dine-in only.
Little Caesars
Veterans and active-duty military get a free Lunch Combo at participating stores on November 11, from 11am to 2pm. In-store only.
Olive Garden
Free entree from their special Veterans Day menu for all dine-in veteran and active-duty members.
Outback Steakhouse
Free Bloomin' Onion and beverage with the purchase of an adult entree when you dine in. The restaurant is also offering an additional free $10 bonus (valid from Nov. 12 to Dec. 17) for all active and retired military personnel who visit on Nov. 11.
Red Lobster
Free Shrimp & Chips entrée voucher from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 11, which can be redeemed Nov. 13 through Dec. 10. Active-duty military, reserves, and veterans should show proof of service.

Sports Clips will provide free haircuts to veterans and active duty service members on Nov 11, as well as donate $2 for every haircut service provided on that day to its Help A Hero Scholarship program, which provides funds for education for veterans and service members to transition to post-military civilian careers. Clients, team members and franchisees can donate in-store at check-out or online with 100 percent of donations going toward veteran scholarships.
