It’s that time of the year again — fireworks shows are returning for memorable summer evenings. We’ve scoured the area for the best free and local shows to enjoy this Independence Day. Check them out below!

Haynes Apperson Festival
When: 10 p.m. Saturday, July 1
Where: Foster Park, 721 W. Superior St.
Additional Information: Following Starship with Mickey Thomas concert
Kokomo Jackrabbits
When: After the games on July 7, July 29 and Aug. 5.
Where: Kokomo Municipal Stadium, 400 S. Union St., Kokomo
Higher Ground Tree Service
When: 9:30 p.m. July 4
Where: 1450 E Havens St., directly behind Menards
Additional information: Food and family fun
First EPC Kokomo
When: 9:45 p.m. July 8
Where: First Evangelical Presbyterian Church Kokomo, 2000 W. Jefferson St., Kokomo
Additional information: Enjoy classic cars, fresh deals from local vendors, live music, and food hot off the grill. Bring the whole family for bounce houses, an obstacle course, a dunk tank, and carnival games. Bring your own chair for fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

Tipton God Bless the USA Fireworks Sky Concert

Frankfort Park 4th of July Festival

Marion Gardens of Matter Park Independence Day Celebration

Peru Fireworks at The Park
When: At dusk July 4
Where: Maconaquah Park, 1496 Strawtown Pike, Peru
Additional Information: Games and entertainment are taking place before and after the fireworks show, which begins at dusk.
